“Planning
for Community Benefits” KHSF
Spring Program The
KHSF will host a spring meeting during the Kentucky Hospital Association
Annual Convention, May 14 – 16. The
KHSF program, “Planning for Community Benefits”
will take place on Tuesday, May 15. Hospitals
and health systems offer a great deal of benefit to our communities.
Often, however, our communities do no know what we offer.
In this day and age when public perception is critical to health care,
hospitals must continuously reinforce the positive impact and value they
provide. During this program, Rick
Wade, the American Hospital Association Chief Communication Strategist and
principal spokesperson for the organization, will explain the reasons for the
increased focus on community benefits and the importance of hospitals
marketing their efforts. Additionally,
he will highlight the American Hospital Association programs that can support
hospitals on this initiative. Next,
Beth Llewellyn, Vice
President for Mission Integration at Saint Joseph Healthcare will provide us
with an excellent model and her expertise of how to collect and share
information effectively. Beth has
a planning background prior to entering the mission arena, so she is well
versed in all aspects of community benefit.
